It was another bad performance from Northwestern as nothing seems to be going right this season.

The Wildcats dropped to 3-5 after the Golden Gophers dropped 41 on them, half of which came in the 4th quarter. Minnesota’s rushing attack gave Northwestern fits as running back Mar’Keise Irving finished with 19 carries for 110 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Derik LeCaptain and Tanner Morgan also each had 1 rushing touchdown by the end of the game. Morgan didn’t have to do much in the passing game as he only finished with 134 yards.

After the game, head coach Pat Fitzgerald spoke to the media about what went wrong.
