Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm spoke on Monday, providing an update on a season that started promising but has quickly derailed. Purdue lost 37-27 at home to Nebraska on Saturday, a bit of am embarrassing result for Brohm’s team.
After winning their first two games of the season, the Boilermakers are currently 2-4. Purdue has lost their last four games heading into Saturday’s game at No. 8 Indiana.
Purdue hasn’t had a winning season since 2017, Brohm’s first year with the program. Since then, Purdue is 19-25 under Brohm.
During his Monday press conference, he talked about the state of the team, provided several injury and personnel updates and addressed how he hopes his program can finish strong this weekend at one of the Big Ten’s top teams this year.
Here is what Brohm had to say on Monday during his media availability:
Brohm on defense: Keep pushing forward. Need to be more consistent. Attack the football, be more aggressive.

Brohm on Jalen Graham: Can't reveal. "Sickness" thing.

Brohm on lack of big plays from WRs: Have to find ways to get them the ball. Better balance on offense, better we will be. Defenses doing a good job, too, bracketing coverage, etc.

Brohm: I haven't seen one inch of less fight from our team.
