Nebraska recorded its second win of the season, getting the bounce-back performance after a tough loss to Iowa last weekend.

The performance against Purdue was a bit sloppy on both sides as the teams combined for 20 penalties, but it was the Huskers that jumped out to an early lead and did enough to ice away the win late in the game.

The star for Nebraska was quarterback Adrian Martinez, scoring three total touchdowns in the win. He led the offense well and provided a number of crucial plays all day long.

Defensively, the Huskers looked much better and were able to harass and get to Purdue quarterback Jack Plummer all afternoon. It was a nice performance to build off the strong showing in the disappointing loss to the Hawkeyes.

Here’s what head coach Scott Frost had to say after the victory:

Nebraska will now move on for a game against Minnesota, provided the Gophers progress past their current COVID-19 issues.
