Fall camp is underway, which means college football fans are starting to count down the days until the first kickoff of the season. It ends a painfully long stretch without the sport.

Occupying the rest of the year is talk of recruiting. It is one of the most important aspects of the sport that has become a year-round industry.

With football on the horizon, we can take one last look at how B1G recruiting classes stack up with fall camp underway.

The Early Signing Period is still four months away, and the 2020 class is nowhere close to complete. Some programs are already high on the verbal commitments, though, so it’s fun to see how teams compare at this point in the year.

Here’s where each team ranks in the B1G (and nationally) in the first full week of August. All rankings come from 247Sports’ Composite rankings:

  1. Ohio State (No. 4)
  2. Michigan (No. 7)
  3. Penn State (No. 15)
  4. Iowa (No. 22)
  5. Minnesota (No. 25)
  6. Northwestern (No. 26)
  7. Purdue (No. 32)
  8. Wisconsin (No. 36)
  9. Maryland (No. 40)
  10. Indiana (No. 50)
  11. Michigan State (No. 54)
  12. Nebraska (No. 62)
  13. Rutgers (No. 86)
  14. Illinois (No. 87)
