Update: Shortly after reports of a fire at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium surfaced, the University of Florida said that a fire came from a maintenance tractor. In a release, the athletic department said “The fire is now out and there is no structural damage to the facility.”

A video shows smoke pouring out of University of Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, as the home of the Gators appears to be on fire. Reporters in Gainesville are making their way to the scene.
The video surfaced on social media on Saturday afternoon. There was no explanation behind the smoke and no clarification as to where it was specifically coming from or if anyone was inside.
Florida was not playing a game on Saturday, as the SEC will start its 2020 football season on Sept. 26.

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is considered one of the most intimidating atmospheres in college football. The capacity of the stadium is 88,548 fans when the Gators are playing.
The stadium is 90 years old this season, having first opened its gates in 1930.
