Homecoming? NFL analyst says Justin Fields would be a good fit with Atlanta Falcons

Justin Fields will be starting his career in his home state.
OK, so maybe that’s not been decided just yet, as the NFL Draft is still two months away. However, one analyst believes that the Ohio State quarterback would be a good fit for the Atlanta Falcons, selecting with the No. 4 pick this year.
Fields is a native of Kennesaw, Georgia, just outside the Atlanta area. He started his career at UGA and spent one season with the Bulldogs before transferring to Ohio State to play for Ryan Day.
“I’ve got Justin Fields going back home, going to the Falcons with the fourth overall pick,” Jeremiah said on the Move The Sticks podcast. “Arthur Smith gets a quarterback to develop. He can roll with Matt Ryan next year and let Justin Fields develop on the practice field before you cut him loose in 2022 to be your guy.”
Fields had an outstanding career in Columbus, leading the Buckeyes to a 20-2 record as the starter. His only two losses came in the College Football Playoff, falling to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl following the 2019 season and losing to Alabama in the national championship this past year.
There’s been some debate about where Fields will fall in this year’s draft. Some believe he’s still the second-best quarterback prospect available, behind only Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson. Others say BYU’s Zach Wilson and North Dakota State’s Trey Lance could be selected before the former Buckeye this year.
We still have to wait a few months to see where Fields will start his NFL career.
