Indiana has landed a 7-foot center from the NCAA transfer portal.
On Monday, the Hoosiers received a commitment from former USF 7-foot center Michael Durr. He’s the most recent pick-up from the portal for new IU head coach Mike Woodson, who was hired following the termination of Archie Miller. So far, the hire has really paid off in Bloomington.
Durr announced his decision with a post on Twitter, saying “Let’s get it Hoosier nation.”

Durr has two seasons of eligibility remaining and brings a great inside presence to Indiana for the 2021-22 season. Last year, he averaged 8.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and just under 1 block per game for the Bulls. Durr averaged over 26 minutes per contest.
Not only does Durr bring size to IU, he has plenty of experience on the floor. He’s appeared in 87 career games and has made 85 starts. During his time with USF, he’s averaged 6.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.
The Hoosiers are looking to re-establish themselves as a contender in the B1G on the hardwood after failing to reach the NCAA Tournament at any point under Miller.
