That 2015 team went 12-2, ultimately losing to Michigan State in the Big Ten title game and to Stanford in the Rose Bowl.
This year, Iowa has secured comfortable victories over Indiana and Iowa State. The Hawkeyes were dominant vs. the Hoosiers, ultimately winning that game 34-6.
The Cy-Hawk game was a bit more competitive, but Iowa forced quarterback Brock Purdy to throw three interceptions. The Hawkeyes also forced a fumble from star running back Breece Hall, which they returned for a touchdown.
Iowa’s schedule softens up for the rest of September, as the Hawkeyes host Kent State in Week 3 and Colorado State in Week 4.
