Hunter Nourzad transferred to Penn State from Cornell this offseason. He revealed that he will be using his extra year of eligibility to play at Penn State next season.
Nourzad talked about why he wants to stick around for the 2023 season on Tuesday’s zoom call. He called it a very easy decision. James Franklin told him that now was time to release the news in order to “get out in front of it.”
“It’s a bunch of people’s dreams to get to do what I get to do,” said Nourzad. “It was kind of easy to be honest with you.”

Nourzad has played in seven games for the Nittany Lions this season. It looks like he’ll be playing in even more for them down the road now that he’s staying for another year.
This is some good news for the offensive line as Franklin confirmed that Landon Tengwall is going to be missing the season due to an undisclosed injury.
Penn State faces Maryland this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
