Hunter Wohler records first career interception in first game back from injury for Wisconsin

Hunter Wohler suffered an injury in Week 1 of the 2022 season and would not return to the field until Week 10.
In Wohler’s return, he landed his 1st career INT for Wisconsin against Maryland. Wohler picked off Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa and returned the ball inside the Maryland 20-yard line.

Wohler’s return was highly anticipated. Interim HC Jim Leonhard said that Wohler’s return would necessitate the usage of 3 safety sets.
Wohler suffered a leg injury in the Badgers’ Week 1 win over Illinois State. Before exiting with the injury, Wohler collected 3 tackles in the season opener.
At the halfway point of the 4th quarter, the Badgers had a 20-3 lead over the Terrapins. With a win, the Badgers would improve to 5-4 on the season.
