Hurricane Ian impact: 2 college football games moved to Sunday

Hurricane Ian could become a category 4 storm before it impacts Florida’s gulf coast on Wednesday. Residents of the south and southeast, and Florida in particular, are no strangers to hurricanes, but Ian is expected to be quite the weather event and it’s impact could end up being massive.
As a result of the impending Hurricane, two college football gave have been rescheduled to Sunday in order to create some more space between the storm and kickoff.
The UCF Knights are moving their Saturday matchup against SMU to Sunday. The game will be played on one of the ESPN Networks, but game time has yet to be determined.

The Florida Gators are moving their game against Eastern Washington to Sunday at noon. It will still be played at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Steve Spurrier Florida Field. The game can be seen on ESPN+ or the SEC Network+.
It will be interesting to see what other proactive scheduling moves are made as Ian makes landfall.
