Justin Fields didn’t have a whole lot of time to enjoy the moment. Hours after his name was called in the first round of Thursday night’s NFL Draft, the former Ohio State quarterback was on his way to Chicago.
The Bears selected Fields with the No. 11 pick on Thursday night, a bit of a surprise from the teams projected to pick the ex-Buckeye. Still, Fields was excited to be a first-round choice and is looking forward to his opportunity in the NFL.
Friday, Fields had his first press conference as a member of the organization. He was asked about his goals with the Bears, which college games stand out most to him, how he handled the adversity during the draft process and plenty more.
Here’s what the new Chicago Bears quarterback had to say while speaking with reporters on Friday:

Justin Fields said he was diagnosed with epilepsy in 9th grade after he had a seizure in school, but his condition has had “zero effect on football.”
“I can manage it pretty easily.” Said he takes medication to manage it.

Fields on the 3-INT Indiana game: "I think there were a few plays in that game when I was trying to be Superman, trying to do too much… I think that game was a game I'll definitely remember for the best of my life" as a learning experience.

Justin Fields said he's not worried anymore about the things that were said about him during the draft process. Although he felt some of those things were untrue, “I'm focused on the present,” and that's in the past.

Asked by @TIM_MAYsports who he views as the frontrunner in Ohio State's quarterback competition to replace him, Justin Fields said he hasn't been at enough practices to predict a frontrunner. Ryan Day should be pleased with that answer.
