Illinois is adding depth at the wide receiver position with its 2021 recruiting class.
On Thursday, the Fighting Illini received a pledge from Miles Scott, a 3-star wide receiver according to 247Sports. Scott comes from Dolton, Illinois and attended St. Thomas More High School. He’ll be a late addition to the 2021 class.
Scott announced his decision with a post on Twitter. He’s listed as the No. 9 player out of Illinois but does not have any rankings in the composite at this time.

Even though the National Signing Day came in February, new head coach Bret Bielema said that there was a chance Illinois would continue to add a few pieces in the summer. Scott will be one of those pieces.
Scott will be a preferred walk-on for the Fighting Illini this fall.
With 18 pledges, Illinois 2021 recruiting class ranks 13th in the B1G.
