Illinois fell behind against Minnesota, but the Illini are not going away quietly!
During Saturday’s trip to Minnesota, Illinois allowed the Gophers to get out to a 30-10 lead. Despite an early pick-six by the Illini defense, an injury to starting quarterback Brandon Peters has made things difficult for the offense.

Fortunately, the Illinois defense came up big once again. The pass rush finally broke free on this play and drilled Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan as he was loading up to pass. The officials let the play roll, ruling the ball popped free before Morgan’s arm was coming forward.
It was scooped up and returned for a touchdown, making it 30-17 Minnesota:

Hopefully, Illinois is able to keep the comeback going in the fourth quarter.
