Illinois DL target Ian Jeffries announces official visit date with Fighting Illini

Ian Jeffries will be visiting Champaign over the summer. He is a DL recruit from the class of 2023 out of Mississippi.
Jeffries will be visiting Illinois on June 24 according to Jeremy Werner of 247Sports. He doesn’t have any rankings yet per the 247Sports Composite, but has plenty of offers so far. The only other B1G school that has been interested in Jeffries so far is Indiana. Illinois is the first visit that he has scheduled, however. Arkansas State, Georgia State, Liberty, Murray State, and Southeast Missouri State have also offered him.
The DL recruit out of Southaven, Mississippi comes in at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds. The Fighting Illini have just 1 other DL committed to them at the moment.
With his size, Jeffries would be a nice get for Bret Bielema and Illinois.
