Illinois defensive tackle Lere Oladipo appeared in court on Monday, pleading not guilty to domestic battery charges, according to a report.
Oladipo was reportedly arrested over the weekend on domestic battery charges and was released on $1,000 bail. He was in court Monday for his criminal arraignment.
According to Craig Choate of WCIA, Oladipo plead not guilty to three counts of domestic battery. He is accused of pushing a female, causing bleeding and an abrasion on her lip. He could face probation, a $2,500 fine or jailtime.

Oladipo was suspended indefinitely from the football team after the arrest was made public. Head coach Lovie Smith declined to comment further on the situation during his weekly press conference.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning. Oladipo played in Illinois’ game against Maryland just a day earlier.
Oladipo has played in four games for the Illini this season, including one start against Wisconsin. He’s recorded seven tackles for the year.
