Illinois hoops still in the running for 2022 5-star PF out of Arizona

One of the nation’s best prospects for the class of 2022 is down to 11 potential destinations, and Illinois is still in the running.
Sadraque Nganga is a five-star power forward and the top player out of Arizona for 2022. He is also rated the No. 3 PF for the cycle via the 247 Sports Composite Rankings and is the No. 16 prospect nationally.
Along with Illinois, Nganga also included Memphis, Arizona State, Georgia, Oklahoma, St. Mary’s, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona, and Auburn:

Though Nganga has narrowed his list of colleges, the 6-foot-9 forward told 247 Sports he is keeping all of his options open, including the possibility of going pro:
“I would have to talk to my family and see because of course going pro is the main focus,” he said. “If I go to college the main goal is still to go pro after and the main focus is to do one year and then to see what’s next.”
