Illinois lands 2023 commitment from Florida OT

Illinois has picked up commitment No. 5 for its 2023 recruiting class. Offensive tackle Rico Jackson out of Florida announced his pledge to Bret Bielema’s Fighting Illini program on Sunday morning.
Jackson made the announcement on Twitter.

Out of Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jackson is listed at 6-6, 295 pounds and rated 3-stars, the No. 163 prospect in the Sunshine State, No. 103 offensive tackle and No. 1,128 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Jackson has 19 scholarship offers, including Michigan and Indiana.
