Illinois lands commitment from talented Texas WR

Illinois picked up its ninth commitment for the class of 2019.
Three-star WR Casey Washington (Pflugerville, TX) committed to the Illini over offers from Kansas and Tulane, among others. Washington is ranked as the nation’s No. 198 overall WR and the state’s No. 250 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He landed an Illinois offer in mid-June.
Washington, listed at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, is an athletic WR, and he became already the third commitment from the state of Texas in the class of 2019. He joins Marquez Beason (Dallas, TX) and Kyron Cumby (Plano, TX).
