Illinois’ matchup set for 2020 Emerald Coast Classic

The Illinois men’s basketball time now has some specifics for its November appearance in the Emerald Coast Classic.
Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported on Monday that Illinois will play Florida on Nov. 27 in a first-round matchup of the event. The other contest will feature Oregon and Iowa State.

Tip-off between Illinois and Florida is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will air on CBS Sports Network. The matchup featuring Oregon and Iowa State will be played after the Fighting Illini and Gators end.
Winners of the two games will then meet in the championship game, scheduled for Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. ET. The losers of the first-round games will play on the same day at 4 p.m. ET.
Illinois finished the 2019-20 season with a 21-10 record.
