Illinois added a big body to its offensive line for 2022 with a commitment from a JUCO prospect Tuesday evening.
The player is Isaiah Adams, a 6-foot-6 and 320 lb. offensive tackle out of Garden City Community College. According to the composite rankings, Adams is a 3-star recruit and the No. 5 OT available out of the JUCO ranks.
“I first want to thank God, my family, my entire support system, along with everyone who helped at Garden City. I am beyond grateful to be in this position,” wrote Adams on Twitter. “It is a honor to announce that I AM COMMITTED to The University of Illinois!”

Adams had drawn offers from programs across the country including Colorado, Fresno State, Buffalo, Minnesota, Syracuse, and others. Adams should have a shot to compete for playing time right away.
