With Wisconsin coming into Week 8 with four shutouts already this season, there was a legitimate question as to whether Illinois would reach the end zone against the Badgers on Saturday. Or even score points.

It took until a little past the midway point of the second quarter, but Illinois has points and a touchdown. But not only a touchdown, an explosive, pretty-looking one.

On second-and-9, Fighting Illini quarterback Brandon Peters found Donny Navarro on a slant pattern, but Navarro made two defenders miss and scampered 48 yards for a touchdown. Watch below:

Illinois’ defense is playing well too, holding Jonathan Taylor and the Wisconsin ground game in check. Wisconsin leads 10-7 with a few minutes remaining in the first half.
