Conference play is finally here!
After navigating the non-conference schedule, Illinois is entering B1G play with nine consecutive games against conference foes this season. Unfortunately, the Illini were unable to escape non-conference play unblemished. A last-second field by Eastern Michigan spoiled an otherwise great start to the season for Lovie Smith and company.

To kick-off conference play, the Illini will be welcoming Nebraska to Champaign for a primetime contest. It will be the first conference battle for each team, and Illinois unveiled its uniform combination for the clash Friday evening.
Illinois will be going with the traditional white helmet with orange “I” logo and navy uniforms. The Illini will wear the look with white pants.
