A new addition to Wisconsin’s basketball team may have just suffered an injury on Wednesday. Shooting guard Connor Essegian reportedly suffered an ankle injury according to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Essegian was a member of the class of 2022, and a 3-star SG out of Albion, Indiana per the 247Sports Composite. Essegian comes in at 6-foot-4, 180 pounds. He was the No. 35 shooting guard and No. 10 player from Indiana in the 2022 class. Essegian is supposed to take part in an Indiana-Kentucky all-star event on Friday and Saturday according to Potrykus.
Essegian is the only recruit to have signed his letter of intent in Greg Gard’s 2022 recruiting class. At this time, there’s no indication about how bad the injury is or if he will be missing any of the games in the upcoming event.
Hopefully the injury isn’t as bad as it sounds.
#Badgers incoming freshman Connor Essegian is scheduled to play in Indiana-Kentucky all-star events Friday and Saturday. However, was told he suffered a foot/ankle injury during a scrimmage tonight. Not sure of the severity/whether he will miss the games.
