A backup quarterback at Indiana has decided he’ll be transferring from the program.

On Friday, redshirt sophomore Austin King announced that he’ll seek other opportunities to continue his football career. He made a statement via Twitter:

King hasn’t played in his first two seasons with the Hoosiers and with Richard Lagow, Peyton Ramsey and Nick Tronti all on the roster, the sophomore’s opportunity to play was probably extremely limited.

There was no announcement as to where King will be continuing his career.

King was a member of Indiana’s 2015 recruiting class and is a former three-star prospect. The Alpharetta, Georgia native was ranked as a top 100 player from the state.
