Indiana baseball will head to Lexington, Kentucky, this week for a NCAA regional. However, the Hoosiers will face a serious logistical issue before the first pitch is thrown.
There appears to be a shortage of available hotel rooms in Lexington this week, due in-part to the Railbird Festival — a 2-day country music festival that’s set for June 3-4. State tournaments for baseball, softball, track and tennis are also set for this week in Lexington.
According to college baseball podcaster Ben Upton, there aren’t any available rooms within an hour of UK’s campus.
The solution, apparently, is for opposing players and coaches to stay at Kentucky dorm rooms during the regional. The “residential suites” cost $92.50 per night and will house up to four people, according to documents obtained by Upton.
Here are the details:

Fans who plan on making the trip to Lexington will likely have to stay more than an hour away.
This is Kentucky baseball’s third hosting opportunity in program history. The Wildcats were 1 of 16 programs to be chosen as a host this season.
Indiana will face West Virginia at 7 p.m. ET on Friday.
