Indiana basketball is reportedly in discussions to add a marquee nonconference series to future schedules. It’s a series Mike Woodson has talked about getting on the schedule previously.
According to insider Jon Rothstein with CBS Sports, the Hoosiers are in “advanced discussion” to play a multi-year series vs. SEC power Kentucky. Games in that series would be a combination of on-campus games and at neutral site venues.

Woodson has previously hinted at hopes for a series against the Wildcats. While the reports for a future series are very promising, the new games would not be expected to begin for a couple of years down the road.
The last regular-season matchup between the two sides came during the 2011-12 season. Indiana wone the most recent matchup during the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
As things currently stand, Kentucky leads the all-time series 32-25.
