Indiana is on a tear against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In fact, it’s the largest lead the Hoosiers have built over Nebraska in more than 75 years.
Indiana jumped out to a 28-point lead, the largest amount of points the team has been up against Nebraska since 1945. The Hoosiers won that game with a final score of 54-14. Now into the fourth quarter of Saturday’s contest, Indiana has things completely on ice barring a miracle of a comeback from the Cornhuskers with a 49-7 lead.
Many wondered if Indiana’s hot start to the season was for real, and it certainly looks like it on Saturday.

Indiana running back Justice Ellison has been a key part of the team’s effort, nearing the century mark with 91 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 7 carries. Other players who have made it to the end zone include running back Ty Son Lawton and wide receivers Miles Cross, Elijah Sarratt and Myles Price.
Quarterback Kurtis Rourke was sidelined with a hand injury during the game and later came back out onto the sidelines wearing a black jumpsuit. Head coach Curt Cignetti indicated to the sideline reporter that Rourke was “fine” but it’s expected that more details of the injury will be disclosed in the coming days.
Indiana will move to 7-0 with the win, looking to remain undefeated down the stretch.
