UCLA football has played like a completely different program since firing DeShaun Foster earlier this season. Heading into Week 9’s matchup against Indiana, plenty of folks picked the Bruins to, at the very least, cover the massive spread against No. 2 Indiana.
The Hoosiers are still laughing.
Indiana never allowed this one to be competitive. As we enter the 4th quarter, the Hoosiers lead UCLA 56-6. Fernando Mendoza and the Hoosiers offense have been unstoppable — the Heisman candidate is up to 168 passing yards with 3 touchdowns and has also rushed for 45 yards and 1 touchdown.
His brother had been solid since entering as well. Alberto Mendoza has completed 3 of his 5 passing attempts and ran for a touchdown.
UCLA, on the other hand, has been completely invisible. Nico Iamaleava had a tough start to this one with a pick-6 almost right off the bat, and he’s since completed just 10 of his 22 passing attempts for 99 yards.
Fans from around the country came together to marvel at Indiana’s dominant performance against the Bruins. Check out some of the best reactions below:
