Recruiting is a 24/7 job. You can never stop as a coach. If you do, you’ll fall behind.
On Thursday, Indiana coach Tom Allen can — at the very least — say he isn’t falling behind. That night, the Hoosiers gained a verbal commitment from Sam Daugstrup, a 6-foot-5 tight end from Cleveland, Ohio:
Blessed to announce my commitment to play football at Indiana University! Thank you to everyone who has helped me throughout this process #Hoosiers #4:13 pic.twitter.com/9IvVRLwVrq

Daugstrup is rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He holds scholarship offers from Louisville, Iowa State, Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt to name a few.
Daugstrup is now the 15th player to commit to the Hoosiers for 2020. The entire Indiana 2020 class can be seen here. It ranked No. 59 nationally and No. 12 in the B1G prior to the tight end’s commitment.
