Apparently Jeff Brohm’s impact on West Lafayette extends past Purdue and has trickled down to the high school ranks.
Last Friday night, West Lafayette High School quarterback Kyle Adams put up video game-like numbers in the first weekend of high school football in the state of Indiana. And, in general, the game was an offensive show full of fireworks from start to finish.
Adams finished the game with 571 yards and seven touchdown passes, while completing 46-of-62 pass attempts (74.2 percent). Somehow, that wasn’t enough to secure a victory in the shootout. He posted the figures on his highlight reel, which was shared on Twitter.
West Lafayette was defeated by local rival Lafayette Jeff 74-66. Talk about an exciting start to the high school football season.

Adams is listed as a dual-threat quarterback on 247Sports, but does not have a star rating. He’s a member of the 2020 recruiting class and holds nine offers from FCS programs. He has committed to James Madison University, an FCS juggernaut.
If Adams continues to put up those kinds of numbers, maybe Brohm or Indiana’s Tom Allen will extend an offer to the in-state product. Those numbers are certainly deserving of some attention.
