Donaven McCulley is officially a Hoosier, the quarterback prospect on-board and Bloomington-bound.

A four-star quarterback prospect according to 247Sports, McCulley signed his letter of intent on Wednesday, the first day of the Early Signing Period. McCulley, who plays for Lawrence North in Indianapolis, is the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback prospect in the nation.

It is a big deal for Indiana as McCaulley is the highest-rated quarterback recruit to sign with the program. In addition, he is the sixth-highest ranked prospect in program history.

He held offers from Cincinnati, Iowa, Michigan State and Ole Miss among others.

He committed to Indiana in June.

McCaulley is one of two four-star recruits for Indiana, the other being wide receiver Jaquez Smith. The dual-threat QB will join a room that features Michael Penix Jr. and Jack Tuttle. It’s a huge boost for the Hoosiers, which have improved their recruiting prowess dramatically under head coach Tom Allen.

The Hoosiers recruiting class is ranked No. 60 in the nation and 12th overall in the Big Ten.
