Indiana picks up 7th commitment for class of 2023 with huge OT out of Illinois

Indiana has some work to do on the recruiting trail for the class of 2023. Heading into the weekend, the Hoosiers picked up a nice piece with their 7th commitment for the cycle.
The player is Austin Barrett, a 6-foot-7 and 270 lb. offensive tackle out of St. Charles East High School in Saint Charles, Illinois. Barrett had generated a number of Power 5 offers before pledging the Hoosiers over Kansas State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
“With that being said, I am excited to announce I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at INDIANA UNIVERSITY,” wrote Barrett. “Thank you coach Allen and Coach Hiller for the opportunity and I can’t wait to play for you! Go Hoosiers!”

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Barrett is a 3-star recruit for the class of 2023. He’s also the No. 70 OT in the country and the 14th overall player out of Illinois for the cycle.
