The Gator Bowl between Indiana and Tennessee is set for Thursday, Jan. 2. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The Hoosiers come in with an 8-4 record, while the Volunteers are 7-5. It’s Big Ten vs. SEC. Bragging rights are always on the line between those two conferences.

Ahead of the game, Indiana coach Tom Allen gave a comparison to the team he’s about to face:

For Indiana linebacker Raekwon Jones, he mentioned toughness as being a key to beating the SEC foe:

As Allen said, he sees Tennessee being like Penn State in terms of physicality. Jones knows his team has to be physical. There will be no love between these two schools.

They’ll want to punch each other in the mouth.

The game may come down to which team is more physical. It may be that simple.
