Ty Fryfogle is back for one more season at Indiana after an award-winning campaign in 2020.

Last season, Fryfogle had a true breakthrough playing alongside Michael Penix Jr. He finished with 721 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns, turning into an elite deep threat in the process. Fryfogle finished with 19.5 YPC after lighting it up in some big moments.

During BTN’s Bus Tour stop in Bloomington, Fryfogle was asked what he’s trying to focus on coming off his B1G Wide Receiver of the Year performance. Fryfogle admitted he’s working on everything and always trying to get better in every aspect of the game:

“From a receiver’s standpoint, my speed, my routes, getting to know defenses, learning coverages…everything all around as a receiver because I feel like you can never be too good at anything,” explained Fryfogle.

In terms of Indiana as a team, Fryfogle admitted that the Hoosiers know things will be different. Instead of being the hunter, he believes there is a target on the team’s back.

Still, the Hoosiers are hungry for the goal of a conference title:

“We’re still the same hungry Indiana team that’s always been,” said Fryfogle. “We know there’s a target on our back this year, but we’re just gonna take it one game at a time, one week at a time.”
