Indiana’s March Madness First Four game delivers record-breaking ratings

The Indiana Hoosiers helped the 2022 NCAA Tournament get underway on Tuesday night. Mike Woodson’s squad took down Wyoming 66-58 to make it to the field of 64.
While every school wants to make it to 64 without playing a First Four game, March Madness would probably love to have the Hoosiers play on opening night again. They helped deliver the best ratings ever for a First Four Tuesday game, with 2.2 million viewers for truTV, up 47 percent from 2019.
First Four action continues Wednesday. Bryant and Wright State are currently in the first half. Rutgers and Notre Dame face off in the nightcap.

Indiana has a quick turnaround. The No. 12-seed Hoosiers are back in action Thursday to face No. 5-seed St. Mary’s.
