This is definitely not the news Indiana fans wanted to hear.

Wide receiver Nick Westbrook was injured on the opening kickoff against the Ohio State Buckeyes and he never returned to the game. After an MRI on Saturday, it confirmed the worst: Westbrook tore his ACL and is out for the season.

Westbrook was a tremendous asset to the Hoosiers’ offense. In 2016, he caught 54 passes for 995 yards and six touchdowns.

This is obviously crucial blow to Indiana’s offense. Look for the Hoosiers’ passing attack to focus on Simmie Cobbs who had an outstanding performance against the Buckeyes, 149 yards and a touchdown on 11 catches.
