Michigan State is back on the field.

On Friday, the Spartans kick-started fall practice for the 2020 season, preparing for the season opener against Minnesota on Sept. 5. Michigan State is coming out of a 14-day quarantine, following a spike in positive COVID-19 cases around the program.

But players were on the field and first-year head coach Mel Tucker embarks on his inaugural season in East Lansing. To give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the football team, the new leader of the Spartans got mic’d up.

Below is the video that Michigan State shared on its Twitter page on Friday afternoon:

Michigan State is coming off a 7-6 season in 2019, but is undergoing some major changes. Tucker is just a second-year coach, spending his first-ever year as the leader of a program at Colorado.

The Buffaloes finished with a 5-7 record, which included a comeback victory over Nebraska at home.
