Insult to injury: Nebraska lands on ESPN analyst’s ‘Bottom 10’ following 0-2 start

Things are pretty darn bad for Nebraska right now as the Huskers sit at 0-2.
You know who wanted to pile on that? ESPN’s Ryan McGee.
The college football writer and mastermind behind the college football Bottom 10 dropped his latest rankings on Wednesday. Let’s just say it didn’t turn out well for old Big Red.
Nebraska, or No-braska as McGee says, sits at No. 10 in the rankings. The Huskers are 0-2. The first loss on the road at Ohio State was a tad commendable since the Buckeyes have national championship aspirations.
The second loss, however, wasn’t as well-received as Nebraska looked sloppy in a loss at home to Northwestern.
When breaking down the winless Huskers, McGee makes a Back to the Future reference as the Huskers wish to return to the glory days of the 1990s:
The Cornhuskers lost to Northwestern for the fifth time in seven years. Let’s go live to reporter Lincoln Rosenblatt, who is standing by outside Memorial Stadium. Lincoln?
“Ryan, it’s a bizarre scene here. From our vantage point across Stadium Drive, we are watching a group of Huskers supporters who have been joined by fans from Tennessee, Michigan and Penn State. They appear to be unloading Doc Brown’s DeLorean off the back of a flatbed truck that just arrived from UCLA.”
Lincoln, has anyone there told you what this group might be up to?
“I am being told they are trying to go back to the 1990s. Back to the Future, er, I mean, back to you.”
The teams sitting above Nebraska include Kansas, UMass, and Santa Claus. At least Husker fans can boast about being ahead of Santa Claus.
In all seriousness, this seems like rock bottom for the Huskers and head coach Scott Frost. He has to start showing that he can make Nebraska at least competitive in the Big Ten West.
