Iowa basketball tweaks tip-off times in light of impending severe weather

Iowa basketball is gearing up for a midweek men’s and women’s double-header on Wednesday. In light of the impending severe weather sweeping across the country, the Hawkeyes are shifting those game times.
Previously set for a late afternoon and evening doubleheader, Iowa is moving up the tip-off times to early afternoon. The Hawkeye women’s team will now face Dartmouth at 12:01 pm local time Wednesday with the men’s game to follow.
In the second game of the day, the Hawkeye men’s team will face Eastern Illinois with an approximate tip-off time of 2:31 pm local time. That game was originally set for 7 pm local time.
Due to forecasted inclement weather, Iowa men’s and women’s basketball start times for Wednesday games have been moved up.
Tipoff for the women’s game against Dartmouth is now slated for 12:01 p.m. (CT).
Men will play against Eastern Illinois will follow at 2:31 p.m. (CT).

Places across the country are dealing with an arctic blast of temperatures and parts of the midwest are due for heavy snowfall ahead of Christmas. Snow is expected to arrive at Iowa City Wednesday night into Thursday with a forecasted high of 7 degrees and a low Thursday night of minus 10.
