Belton had a tremendous season in Iowa’s secondary during the 2021 campaign and was a big reason why the Hawkeyes thrived on turnovers this past year. He was responsible for 7 pass break-ups and 5 interceptions during Iowa’s 10-4 run.
He also had 46 tackles, including 3 for loss for Hawkeyes.
Belton spent 3 seasons with Iowa and proved to be a significant contributor each fall. He leaves the program having totaled 112 tackles, 12 pass break-ups, 5 interceptions and a forced fumble.
Belton was a member of a pair of 10-win teams and was on a squad that finished 6-2 in the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. He played a huge role in Iowa’s success in the secondary during his 3 years.
Now, he’s taking the leap to the next level.
