For the third time in four games, Iowa will be without the services of key guard CJ Fredrick.

About an hour before tipoff, Iowa announced that Fredrick will miss Sunday’s game against Indiana because of a lower leg injury. The guard also missed Thursday’s game against Ohio State, a game the Hawkeyes lost 89-85.

In fact, the Hawkeyes have struggled in games that Fredrick hasn’t played this season. Iowa also dropped an 80-75 decision against Illinois without the guard on the floor. The Hawks also blew a halftime lead the last time they played Indiana, a game Fredrick only saw first half action.

Fredrick returned for Iowa’s game against Michigan State on Tuesday and the Hawkeyes were able to get an 84-78 victory over the Spartans. With Iowa currently at 7-4 in the B1G standings, a win is critical to stay in the hunt for a B1G regular season title.

Since Indiana defeated Iowa on Jan. 21, the Hoosiers have dropped games to Rutgers and Illinois, losing both by four points. IU is 9-8 on the season and is hoping to stay above the .500 mark with a second win over the Hawkeyes.

Game time is set for 12 p.m. ET and the game will air on FOX.
