Iowa hoops drops intense hype video for matchup vs. Illinois

Iowa and Illinois are gearing up for another intense rivalry meeting of the basketball series on Saturday. The two sides are also jockeying for positioning in the B1G behind Purdue.

Entering Saturday, Illinois is tied with Rutgers for second in the conference with a 7-4 record in league play. Iowa is right behind as 1 of 6 B1G teams with a 6-5 record in the conference.

As for the head-to-head series, things have been tightly contested of late but with a decided Illinois advantage. The Illini have won 5 straight against the Hawkeyes, including a sweep of the series during the 2021-22 season. The last matchup was a 74-72 win by Illinois on March 6 last year.
