Iowa basketball is putting together a strong recruiting class for 2023, and the Hawkeyes landed another piece on Wednesday.
This time, the commitment (and signing) comes from Ladji Dembele. Dembele is a 6-foot-8 power forward out of New Jersey with offers from around the country, including Pitt, Wake Forest, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Xavier.

Dembele is rated a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports and the No. 34 PF nationally for the cycle. He becomes the 4th piece to the 2023 recruiting class for Iowa, an impressive group for Fran McCaffery’s squad.
That group checks in at No. 47 nationally per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. 4-star SF Pryce Sandfort leads the group with 3-star PF Owen Freeman also included.
