Iowa has landed a commitment from Cedar Rapids (Iowa) John F. Kennedy offensive lineman Nick Brooks.

It’s a huge win for Kirk Ferentz and the Hawkeyes. The 2025 tackle is the top-ranked recruit in the state for his class. He picked Iowa over Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, and Tennessee.

A 6-foot-7, 345-pound tackle prospect, Brooks is viewed as one of the very best in his class. The industry-generated 247 Composite has him ranked as the No. 12 tackle in the 2025 class and the No. 118 overall recruit.

Brooks spent his sophomore season at Alpharetta (Ga.) St. Francis, where he saw snaps at both offensive tackle spots. He returned to Cedar Rapids for his junior season. A massive prospect, Brooks has already garnered offers from Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, and Wisconsin, among others.

He becomes the second known commitment for Iowa’s 2025 class, joining Pleasant Valley defensive lineman Joey VanWetzinga.
