This week the Iowa Hawkeyes will travel to Columbus to take on Ohio State and starting left tackle Mason Richman recognizes what’s in front of his team.

Per the Des Moines Register’s Chad Leistikow:

In a recent interview, Richman made it clear that he and his team know what is waiting for them in the Horseshoe. The stadium has a capacity of 102,780 and Buckeye fans will definitely make their presence known this Saturday. The noon kick-off will be the biggest challenge for the Hawkeyes so far in their 2022 season.

Iowa’s offense has been struggling this year with a lackluster 14.7 points per game and this weekend won’t make it any easier. With just a travel squad, the Hawkeyes will have to take on the top-ranked Buckeye’s offense and their much-improved defense. Iowa’s defense has played exceptionally despite the offense by only allowing 9.8 points per game.

Even as a sophomore, Richman understands that traveling and playing in a game like this isn’t just your starting eleven vs theirs.
