Iowa receives commitment from 3-star athlete from Illinois ahead of Early Signing Period

Iowa picked a big commitment from a 3-star athlete in Teegan Davis just ahead of Early Signing Day. Davis made the announcement on his Twitter page on Monday that he not only received the scholarship but also committed to the program.

Davis is a 3-star athlete from Princeton, Illinois, where he is rated as the 125th-best ATH and the 31st-rated high school prospect from the state of Illinois, according to 247Sports Composite.

He has two offers total to play college football with the other school being Eastern Illinois.

 

According to MaxPreps, Davis plays quarterback and defensive back. This past season, Davis completed 85-of-142 of his passes for 1,638 yards, 20 touchdowns, 1 interception, and a quarterback rating of 136.7. He also rushed for 766 yards and 17 touchdowns on 85 carries.

As a defensive back this past season, he accounted for 60 total tackles, 27 solo tackles, 8 interceptions, and a fumble recovery.
