Iowa retakes lead vs. Minnesota with 72-yard bomb from Alex Padilla to Charlie Jones

Alex Padilla is playing for Iowa vs. Minnesota, and the quarterback had a chance to show off his arm strength on this play.
Facing a 13-10 deficit in the second half, Padilla and the Hawkeyes had a chance to start a drive deep in their own territory. Needless to say, the drive did not last long.
Charlie Jones got behind his man quickly, turning his defender’s hips with a juke to the outside. Jones then broke back to the middle and was behind the defense with safety help slow to rotate over the top.
Padilla put the ball out in front of Jones, and it was an easy run under for the catch with no one able to track the speedster down. It went for 72 yards and an Iowa lead:
