Iowa football has a really weird, yet, kind of cool stat that no one even probably knew about.
Per college football insider Brett McMurphy, the Iowa Hawkeyes seem to have a streak in games played in November, as he tweeted out on Thursday morning.
Current longest winning streaks for games played in November
Notre Dame 16
Louisiana 15
Iowa 11
Cincinnati 7
Alabama, Central Michigan, Georgia, Ole Miss, Western Kentucky 6Irish haven't lost in November since Nov. 25, 2017 at Stanford

The Hawkeyes have not lost a game in November since 2019 against No. 16 Wisconsin, 22-24.
Kind of like for basketball fans that say March is the month that everything happens, that sort of reigns true for Hawkeye fans, in that November is the moment to shine. Well, maybe.
Iowa football needs a lot from its defense to pull out this game in lieu of its offense. But who knows, maybe this statistic will actually factor in on gameday as the offense has been lacking and the defense has been trying to piece it all together. The Hawkeyes defense has allowed less than 16 points a game with 13 forced turnovers. Still, the odds are not on the Hawkeyes side, as the Boilermakers are a 4.5 favorite with an O/U of 41.5.
The Hawkeyes hope to keep its wild November stat alive as they take on Purdue in West Lafayette this Saturday at noon ET.
