Iowa starting guard Ahron Ulis announced Wednesday that he would be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal after 3 years in Iowa City. Ulis’ production faltered as the season went on, with him only scoring 2 points in the Hawkeyes’ recent NCAA Tournament loss to Auburn in Round 1.
This past season was Ulis’ first in a major role for the Hawkeyes, as he had mostly played as a rotational player in 2021 and 2022.

Ulis averaged just over 6 points per game this season for the Hawkeyes. Perhaps his best game this season was a 16-points performance in a win against Rutgers, a game where he also recorded 2 steals.
Still, he had legitimate struggles at scoring the ball at times, which is why he was fazed out as a starter for the Hawkeyes late in the season.
